UPDATE 21 NOV 2014:
Hostgator has purged PronQuest from it's server,
have no idea why or when I will be able to (if ever)
restore it.

Sven's last word bubble is snort's color.

Also, love that as a threat. Beware or I'll do my job!

Hey Ebenezer, the pronquest page is sending me to what looks like a wordpress set-up. I haven't tried going any further than the first page, but I just wanted to make sure you knew about it.

Aware of it, see the author note above. :P Hostgator wiped it out of existence over night
on the 20th, NOTHING is left. Their Tech group is looking in to it, but I suspect they may
have decided not to host it anymore and just wiped it clean.

I've heard horror stories about Hostgator before, just like this. Sorry about your loss. Don't know if this will make you feel better or piss you off Eb, but the whole comic through "Challenge Accepted" is available here:
For people unfamiliar with exhentai, you'll have to register with ehentai, and then edit cookies for exhentai with the member_id and pass_hash. Instructions are easily googled on how to make cookies. Otherwise you'll go to "Sad Panda"

Here's hoping you had a backup of your original files somewhere.

So what are your plans? Obviously Hostgator decided your site was a delicious snack. Can you set up a second ComicFury Web page? 27th Nov 2014, 7:18 AM
what happened to you other site PornQuest every time I try to go to it I get a 404 error from host gator and trying to go to it from the link in this site takes you to a word press hosting setup page. what's up with that
xenofurr 28th Nov 2014, 10:01 AM
Sorry to hear of the issues regarding your web host. I do hope that you will be able to continue with another web host. How about Blogspot as they host some pretty racy stuff.

I'm more betting that HostGator was hacked by someone and they 'accidentally' deleted every single pron related page. HostGator pretty much takes an agnostic viewpoint on porn, as long as it is properly marked.

Going to figure out something, ALL of the comics pages are saved on two different hard drives so
the pages are there, the comments and posts, that database is gone and HostGator can't find any
record of ever hosting the site...

Hostgator does not know what the name of the localhost is that PronQuest was on.. or how to look it up.
The ENTIRE "comics" folder and all it's contents were deleted (it's how ComicPress worked) and they show
no evidence that the folder ever existed on my account and they don't know how to look that up either. >_<

In the last 18 months HostGator has gone from one of the most knowledgeable and dependable servers to...
something operating with Atari 2600's, pigeons, and a lot of people wearing sweaters and rubbing their feet
to generate electricity.

I wonder if they got bought out by someone and canned all the original techs? I have experienced something like what you describe before with other web hosts.
Jesternario 1st Dec 2014, 9:39 AM
again I ask about this comic. what site is it on?

PronQueens is here, I'm just focused on moving PronQuest to DreamHost right now. Goal is to have
PronQuest with NEW updates up by the end of week, then going back to upload the old pages as time
permits and getting PronQueens up to date.
khamya9 1st Dec 2014, 11:23 PM
Best of luck getting it worked out Eben.
anifreik 2nd Dec 2014, 8:01 AM
Thanks for the status update, Eb. Many authors don't realize just how far that goes in keeping their readers at ease. As long as we know something is being done, we can stand by more easily.
Jesternario 4th Dec 2014, 8:42 AM
Well, well wishes to you, eb. Here's hoping things work out well.
Philippe 5th Dec 2014, 5:22 AM
I have nearly all of the pages saved from the first page on. If you would send me a link( would be happy to upload them to you if that would help. What they did to you is inhuman.
